BEGINNER'S KNITTING
The workshop is suitable for beginners and people who haven't knitted for a while.

We’ll cover casting on / off, knit and purl stitches and how to combine these to create lovely fabrics, including cable and lace, increases and decreases whilst learning how to decipher knitting patterns and some basic troubleshooting.

BEGINNERS'S CROCHET
The workshop is suitable for beginners and people who haven't crocheted for a while.
We'll cover how to begin for straight or circular work, how to create the various stitches, colour changes, increases, decreases and how to read patterns.

LEARN TO SPIN ON A DROP SPINDLE

Have the satisfaction of making your own yarn using this ancient technique.  Relaxing and very portable, a drop spindle can be used anywhere - I've even seen someone using a drop spindle on a bus!  If you've been lucky enough to have been given one of my drop spindle kits as a present, then bring it along or I can supply all materials needed (see workshops prices above).  Feel free to bring along any wool* tops or roving if you already have it.  (*Wool is easier to learn to spin with rather than fibres like silk or alpaca).
